Job Description

Join our direct-to-consumer Global Ecommerce team on the journey to reaching more kids & adults around the world with LEGO products and experiences. The Insights & Trading Optimisation team plays a pivotal role in understanding performance & behaviours on LEGO.com and turning these insights into actions across the business.

This is a rare opportunity to connect strategy with actions driving impact.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the Trading Optimisation team and work closely with global & local stakeholders such as BI, trading, marketing, and digital product teams to deliver concrete insights that improve the consumer experience and drive growth

  • Ensure deep understanding of performance drivers on LEGO.com considering e.g. different audience segments, shopper journeys, and on-site behaviours

  • Facilitate data-driven decision-making with stakeholders to inform development (e.g. new tech features) and commercial decisions (e.g. budget allocation, marketing decisions, campaign priorities etc.)

  • Proactively support key commercial events (e.g. Black Friday) and work closely with relevant teams to provide real-time, data-driven recommendations

  • Own, maintain and optimise existing data sources and dashboards, as well as identify data gaps to build a more integrated picture of performance and shopper behaviors. Work together with Business Intelligence and the Data Office on reporting, ingestion opportunities, data governance and compliance

  • Further accelerate our use of data-driven models to inform decision-making, from simple models to complex models created in collaboration with our advanced analytics team or external partners (e.g. leveraging AI)

  • Champion a data led and self-service culture, encouraging curiosity, ensuring insights are shared broadly across the organisation

Play your part in our team succeeding

As a part of the LEGO Retail organisation, the Global Ecommerce team drives the development of LEGO.com and D2C shopper channels across regions, including new market entry, and plays a pivotal role in our organisations commercial strategy.

Working alongside key collaborators and data owners, this role will play a key part in continuing to move to a more multidisciplinary set of data sources and a focus towards useful data-driven insights that drive business performance.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Extensive experience working as an Insight / Analytics professional in a leading consumer goods company, analytics agency or consultancy.

  • Consistent track record of using consumer and shopper insights to deliver impactful commercial action. Preferably experience from direct-to-consumer ecommerce, with solid understanding of critical business decisions and trade-offs.

  • Leading edge experience with qualitative and quantitative data sources and methodologies, including advanced modeling.

  • Significant experience working with web analytics (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Amazon), data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBi) and big data platforms. Deep understanding of underlying data structures and data QA.

  • Excellent collaboration & stakeholder management skills with the ability build strong working relationships with both data specialist and senior stakeholders. Excellent communication skills and strong data-driven storytelling is a must.
