Training Area Operative

Job Introduction

Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative at, Garelochhead Training Camp in Helensburgh, Scotland.

As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.

We are looking for someone who either has previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training Estate or someone who is keen to learn new skills and bring an enthusiastic willingness to learn, Landmarc will provide full training for the successful applicant.

You will be required to work flexibly over the course of a 37 hour working week, between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00. You will be required to work some weekends, this is reflected in our variable days allowance.

Main Responsibilities

Preparing military ranges and training areas for use

Grounds maintenance

Maintenance works on the range and training area

Equipment testing

Driving and operating vehicles

Use both IT and paper based systems to complete any relevant documentation

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge in Health and Safety

Have a full driver’s license valid in the United Kingdom (essential)

IT skills

Ability to pass security checks and resided in the UK for the last 5 years
