Position Overview & Specifications

An opportunity to join the Kuehne+Nagel team in the warehouse at Portsmouth Naval Base

Your Role

This role is based in Site Services Team with the Kuehne-Nagel at Portsmouth Naval Base and will actively contribute towards continuous improvement projects and ideas. Successful candidates will need to undergo the vetting process.

Your Responsibilities

Complete the daily MHE safety checks (where applicable)
Carry out assigned tasks including: picking, packing, goods receipt, checking, loading & unloading of vehicles, hygiene, the processing of returns and stock maintenance and integrity tasks.
Operate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and carry out other assigned Computer based tasks as required
Comply and contribute to the KN 5s standards within the working area
Operate to trained work instructions e.g. ABC Modules/ WI
Adhere to company standards as detailed in the Code of Conduct Policy
Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace
Achieve individual and team productivity performance standards including accuracy
Adopt KN Compass behaviours
Follow the escalation process where there is any deviation from the standard process

Your Skills and Experiences

Experience of working to agreed targets
PC literate
MHE licence (where applicable)
Understanding of warehouse practises e.g. picking, loading
Ability to work individually or as part of a team
Reliable and committed to attending work on time
Good Communication skills
Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy
High attention to detail
