Position Overview & Specifications

An opportunity to join the Kuehne+Nagel team in the warehouse at Portsmouth Naval Base

Your Role

This role is based in Site Services Team with the Kuehne-Nagel at Portsmouth Naval Base and will actively contribute towards continuous improvement projects and ideas. Successful candidates will need to undergo the vetting process.

Your Responsibilities

  • Complete the daily MHE safety checks (where applicable)
  • Carry out assigned tasks including: picking, packing, goods receipt, checking, loading & unloading of vehicles, hygiene, the processing of returns and stock maintenance and integrity tasks.
  • Operate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and carry out other assigned Computer based tasks as required
  • Comply and contribute to the KN 5s standards within the working area
  • Operate to trained work instructions e.g. ABC Modules/ WI
  • Adhere to company standards as detailed in the Code of Conduct Policy
  • Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace
  • Achieve individual and team productivity performance standards including accuracy
  • Adopt KN Compass behaviours
  • Follow the escalation process where there is any deviation from the standard process

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Experience of working to agreed targets
  • PC literate
  • MHE licence (where applicable)
  • Understanding of warehouse practises e.g. picking, loading
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Reliable and committed to attending work on time
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy
  • High attention to detail
