We are ACS approved and ERS Silver Award Winners with the Armed Forces Covenant. Due to expansion we are looking to recruit full and part time dog handlers to join our existing canine section.

Preferred applicants will be encouraged to maintain/work towards a high level of proficiency along with their canine teammate through regular training and improvements.

Differing levels of experience and ability considered, mentoring and training is available.

A high level of animal welfare and care will always be expected!

Description

All handlers will be required to ensure the security of our client’s premises while adhering to the site safety rules and regulations. The handler will be required to be compliant to the British Standards, random dog patrols of the site and any other specific duties to be advised in the assignment instructions.

£12/hr to £24 Bank Holidays PAYE £15/hr to £30/hr Bank Holidays - Self Employed and Limited Companies Petrol allowance for a return journey and accommodation may be provided if you're travelling more than 50 miles one way.

Handler Requirements

To apply, applicants are required to have:

* Work ethics, the right attitude and be a team player

* Genuine understanding of their canine partners needs/welfare

* A good level of written and verbal English

* A valid frontline SIA badge

* Minimum level 2 team certificate (NASDU, NTIPDU or BIPDT)

* Continuation training (CT) records

* A suitable dog of guarding breed

* Compliant dog cages with escape hatches (must provide photographic evidence)

* Vehicles must be visible with livery Vehicle must be unbranded (no company livery)

* Warning triangles on all exits

* Public Liability Insurance

* Have the right to work in the UK

* Professional, presentable with excellent communication skills

* Smart black uniform & boots with clean hi-vis/tactical vest

(yellow/black dependent on site)

Tasks

* Diester points check patrols

* Patrolling Boundaries

* Working as a Team of 6 Handlers throughout the site.

All applicants will be screened and vetted to BS 8517 and BS 7858 and provide a 5yr checkable work history within 30days Must be able to complete CSC form for the Home office.
