What our Trade Counter Assistant does:
· Our Trade Counter Assistant is hands on, leads by example and works closely with all other team members in day to day branch operations.
· Responsible for Trade Counter sales to confidently communicate product knowledge to customers.
· Provide exceptional customer service and support to new and existing customers.
· Picking, loading products to customers.
· Compliance with Health & Safety, company policies and procedures.
· Ensure excellence in Customer Service, operational standards and Branch sales targets are achieved.
· Support the delivery of sales whilst maintaining positive customer relationships.
· Assist with the delivery of Branch operations.
· Provide support and assistance to Branch colleagues as required.
· Maintain Branch standards – including Warehouse and stock management, front of house cleanliness and point of sale.
What we need from our Trade Counter Assistant:
· Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and to achieve business targets.
· A hands-on customer focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers and
to proactively engage with all customers.
· A commercial approach to drive and maximise margins, whilst ensuring that customers always walk away happy.
· Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and use own initiative.
· Confident IT user, with experience of MS Office and industry standard software.
· A full and valid driving licence would be preferred.
· Comfortable to work in a small team and on occasion alone.
· Experience within a similar role, ideally in a trade/builder’s merchant/retail, glazing or uPVC environment would be a distinct advantage.
· Taking and processing customer orders, liaising with customers regarding delivery dates and keeping them informed.
· Providing customer estimates and then following up.
· Taking deliveries and co-ordinating products to be collected by customers and installers.
· Stock management e.g. Silicon’s and trims etc.
· General Upkeep of the yard and counter.

Salary: From £24,000.00 per year
