Position Overview & Specifications

KCL Construction Group is seeking a focused and experienced Senior Project manager with engineering experience.

The candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in RC Frames and Groundworks. The candidate will have strong engineering and management background

Responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  • Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed
  • Manage setting out engineers on site
  • Mange RFIs and TQs on site
  • Quality Management Systems on site
  • Plan and coordinate a project from start to finish, including organising the schedule of work, costings and budget
  • Provide input and support to the pre-construction teams in producing Programmes and construction methodologies
  • Manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control
  • Ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing budgets and monitoring progress
  • Check design documents with architects, surveyors and engineers
  • Write reports
  • Co-ordinate temporary works designs on site
  • Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with clients and their representatives to inform them of progress on the project, i.e. stakeholder management
  • Communicate with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, quantity surveyors and others involved in the project
  • Deal with any unexpected problems that may occur during the project.

Requirements;

  • Degree qualification in Engineering
  • Experience working with a sub-contractor
  • Experience in managing projects
  • Experience working towards tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Excellent client and sub-contractor relationship skills

Desirable Skills/Attributes

  • Excellent IT skills, in particular advanced Excel with a keen interest to develop their skills further.
  • Knowledge of programming software’s.
  • Good communicator and excellent analytical capabilities
  • Willingness to show initiative and drive-in addition to working as part of a team
  • Well-presented and professional with a flexible approach to work
  • Keen eye for details and interested in progressing their career

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £250.00-£310.00 per day

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • English not required

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus scheme
  • Quarterly bonus
  • Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
