We have an opportunity for a Process and Quality Engineer within a market-leading automotive aftermarket company with a rich history spanning over 50 years.
The company has been going from strength to strength and has facilities in a number of countries and an impressive global customer base to match.
As the Process and Quality Engineer, you will lead in creating and executing business processes and benchmarks across various company spheres such as Production, Quality, Engineering, Environmental, Health & Safety, Training, and other pertinent areas.
You'll leverage your expertise to devise commercially feasible solutions to technical and engineering needs while playing a critical role in the planning, development, and implementation of the client's Quality & Environmental Management System (QEMS), Business Management System (BMS), and other aligned business systems, all in compliance with company policies, objectives, and relevant standards.
You will have a number of duties including:
Interpreting business objectives in terms of quality and engineering standards and developing Quality Management System (QMS) processes and procedures that ensure compliance, playing a key role in aligning the company's strategic direction with quality and engineering standards.
Undertaking Quality Assurance activities such as monitoring, testing, inspecting, and auditing suppliers, products, and services to ensure they meet the required specifications, therefore ensuring that all external inputs into the business meet the requisite quality standards.
Developing, implementing, and managing process, production, and engineering techniques and capabilities within the business, ensuring the continuous improvement and efficiency of the operational procedures.
The company will offer you a salary of c£35,000.
It is envisaged that you will have a degree or equivalent in automotive engineering or a similar discipline. Knowledge and experience of ISO, IATF and APQP quality, environmental and general standards.
Ideally, you will hold or be willing to work towards a recognised audit qualification or equivalent or one years experience working in an audit environment.
