John Wright Electrical & Mechanical Services Ltd are one of Yorkshire’s largest Electrical, Plumbing & Heating contractors who supply, install, commission and maintain a wide variety of services in the commercial, industrial and domestic sectors. Due to continuous expansion, we are looking for Plumbers, Mates & Teams to join our Mechanical division. We have an almost full order book for 2023 so looking to add some top-quality engineers to our team to complete contracts throughout the UK.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit enthusiastic and hardworking plumbing & heating engineers to our team. A full and current driving licence is essential for the role.
Required Attributes/Skills:

Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a plumber
- Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
- Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems
- Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment including crimp fittings. (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly with a great deal of patience
- Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
- Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship
- Valid license to practice profession
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure
- Install and maintain water supply systems
- Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
- Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains.
- Install and maintain liquid heating systems
- Install waste disposal and sanitary systems.
