Applications are invited from suitably-experienced Registered Nurses seeking to take the next step in their career to join our clients 24 bedded Aged & Dementia Care Home on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
This is a full-time post of 36 hours per week; shifts worked in excess of core hours are optional but welcome when available and paid at standard rate.
The salary is based on a 36 hour week with a 25% uplift for weekends and 100% uplift for bank holidays.
You will work as one of two or three Registered Nurses supervising a team of Care Assistants you will work a mixture of days and nights as required
Shifts are either short or long days; either 08:00-14:00, or 08:00-20:30 on days and 20:00-08:00 on nights.
This family run and privately operated employer comprises four homes providing Nursing, Residential and Dementia Care across Guernsey who are committed to ongoing professional development.
Peer support is also available from other senior staff from other homes in the group.
The high standards of this is organisation is reliant on the excellent calibre of Nurses recruited to a very high standard.
The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000. It has some of Britain’s finest and best-kept beaches, an especially mild and sunny climate, and an offbeat, historic harbour town in St. Peter’s Port, the island’s capital.
Person requirements:
Registered (Adult, MH or LD) Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
Current or recent experience within an appropriate Aged and/or Dementia care setting
Passionate about working with as part of a small committed team, delivering quality care.
