Mobile Plant Operator

Our state-of-the-art facilities in Horwich are expanding and our new £4.2 million waste processing plant is now up and running. As a result, we are looking to grow our team of dedicated staff and we now have exciting new opportunities for an experienced Mobile Plant Operator to join our team.

£11.00 - £13.00 per hour DOE

46.25 hours per week

(Mon-Fri 7am-5.30pm, plus alternate Saturdays 7am-12pm)

The Role

The post holder will be responsible for operating a range of mobile plant machinery safely and as instructed, in order to maximise recycling and recovery within the facility. The role will also involve ensuring that the plant and machines are maintained to the required standards, carrying out daily checks and basic maintenance, as well as completing any defect, near miss and accident reports accurately and in a timely manner.

What you need:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mobile Plant Operator who holds an Operator card or Certificate of Basic Training. Previous experience operating mobile plant machinery is essential; however, full training on our machines will be provided. The successful candidate will have the ability to quickly learn new tasks, follow instructions and problem solve. You must also be able to cope with the demands of the role, which involves working outdoors for long periods and heavy lifting. Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and good levels of attendance are a must.
