We are looking for a Sales Consultant to join an award-winning British brand that creates and sells contemporary furniture and lighting globally.
They value quality, exceptional customer service and attention to detail. Their new hire must share these values.
You will work within a close-knit team, helping customers in-store, alongside managing remote trade enquiries. You will treat customers in line with the company values; making sure sales and deliveries are handled exceptionally, exceeding all expectations. Experience in high-end furniture sales preferred but not essential.
You will have fluent English, will be comfortable using sales software, have strong business/commercial acumen, excellent communication, and a love for excellent customer care, luxury furniture design and manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building strong and positive relationships with current and potential clients
- Understanding clients’ needs and providing an exemplary level of service
- Quoting prices and making sure they are accurate, progressing well and converted
- Accurately processing sales order and ensuring invoices are raised
- Taking care of custom orders with attention to detail
- Working with the design team to handle custom projects
- Keeping track of production with the makers and workshops
- Keeping an eye on the progress of live orders
- Coordinating with the procurement and delivery team to meet special requirements
- Keeping clients informed about new launches
- Working with the team to reach sales targets
- Manning the shop floor
- Converting any quotes that were not previously closed
- Managing the sales database and ensuring its accuracy
Key skills required:
- Transactional selling experience
- At least 2 years of sales experience at a high-end brand
- Strong product knowledge ability
- Experience of working within the furniture industry / directly with interior designers a plus
- Knowledge of inventory and sales systems
- CRM operation and experience a distinct advantage
- E-commerce experience would be helpful
- Ability to transact remotely (via phone and email)
- Excellent and fluent command of English, both written and spoken
- Be proactive, reactive and enjoy working closely with other teams
- Bright and warm individual, happy to muck in, help out and adapt
- Be a team player with a positive outlook who is naturally works using initiative
- Comfortable with numbers and calculations
- Skilled in planning and organisation
- Good design sense and appreciation for quality work
- A growth mindset, positive attitude and open to change
Please note that due to the Showroom being open Monday – Saturday, you will be required to work one Saturday every month and have the option to work either Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday.
