Position Overview & Specifications
Older Peoples’ Mental Health services have been going through a significant period of transformation and change. This includes an innovative approach to People with dementia throughout their dementia journey. The assistant role could involve working at different stage of the journey, from involvement in diagnosis to working with behaviours that challenges within inpatient settings and care homes.
Applicants must have achieved at least a degree in Psychology and graduate basis for registration with the British Psychology Society. We are looking for someone who is motivated and enthusiastic with good verbal and written communication skills, good organisational skills, with the ability to work flexibly as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The Assistant Psychology role within these services will be the collection of assessment data, contribution to formulation, contribution to behavioural support plans and delivery of interventions within the ward and care homes in Hull and the East Riding.
Key aspects of your role will be:
- Contribution to neuropsychological assessment
- Collection of relevant data to aid formulation and care planning including interviews with the families
- Attendance at formulation meetings
- Working with the families
- Delivery of intervention within the wards and care home setting
- Attend and contribute to MDT and clinical review meeting
