Position Overview & Specifications
Home Instead Braintree was started by Grainne and Mike Sheehy in 2021. We cover Braintree, Halstead, Sudbury, Marks Tey, Kelvedon and Coggeshall. We are looking for kind-hearted home care workers who want to work in their local community caring for our elderly clients and particularly if living in the Sudbury area.
THIS ROLE IS UK BASED AND THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK WILL NEED TO BE ESTABLISHED AS PART OF THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS. We are not sponsoring VISA applications at this time.
At Home Instead we value the amazing work that our Care Professionals do every day. In order to help you achieve the best for yourself and your clients we offer:
- Competitive pay - from £12 to £14 per hour. Bank Holiday pay rates £24.00 per hour.
- Minimum 1 hour calls– with client matching for continuity.
- Guaranteed contract from 10 hours per week part time to 25 hours per week full time. Various shifts from weekdays to evenings and weekends.

What will you bring:
Help clients to remain happy, healthy and thriving in their own homes! Responsibilities may include:
- Companionship and wellbeing support
- Help with everyday tasks from cooking a meal to light housework
- Helping your client access their community by accompanying them to the shops or appointments
- Help with washing, dressing or bathing.
What Qualifications do you need?
You must have a full Driving Licence and have your own car.
No qualifications are necessary to apply for this Care Assistant position, you do however, need to have a kind heart and the want to make a difference to people's lives.
If you have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant or in the NHS we would love to hear from you. However, if you do not have experience, we provide full training and encourage candidates from all sectors to apply.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Sudbury, Suffolk reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
