Position Overview & Specifications
As a home inspector, it is your responsibility to provide our client with a detailed and timely report of the property's condition. The home inspection industry is a great career choice for those who have working knowledge in construction, plumbing, or similar field and as such, we are looking for qualified home inspectors with previous experience.
Salary and Benefits:
- This is a part time position that pays 50% of the company earnings back to the home inspector.

Responsibilities
- Perform multiple home inspections per day using a computer program and touch screen tablet/phone to record observations to report back to the Real Estate Agent and/or the Client (usually the person purchasing the home). This is required to turn in reports in line with strict contractual deadlines.
- Ability to identify “defects” within a home or structure, photograph such defects, document the findings, and clearly communicate the findings to the client in a non-alarming manner.
- Physical requirements: A home inspector should be in the good physical condition as they will often be performing the following physical tasks:
- Carrying, setting up, and climbing a 12-foot ladder
- Carrying and operating a sewer scope camera (approximately 30 lbs.)
- Accessing and walking on various roof materials, sometimes traversing areas/roof surfaces that are 20 to 30 feet from the ground.
- Accessing and traversing attic spaces (tight spaces and high temperatures are common), good balance, and equilibrium are needed.
- Accessing and traversing structural crawl spaces (tight spaces, often contain pests, remnants of pests, insects, spider webs, moisture, electrical and other components of the foundation of a structure).
- Ability to work in high-temperature environments (summer) and low temperature and wet environments (winter), outside work, is required no matter what type of weather on the day of the inspection.
- Stress management: Performing a home inspection while managing attending members of an inspection can be stressful. Day-to-day driving in traffic tends to be the #1 stressor of big city Home Inspectors.
- Punctuality: You should be prepared to navigate to and from inspections daily. Arriving at appointments on time is critical.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
