EHR Analyst: Clinical Decision System, Primary Care

We are looking for enthusiastic Clinical professionals with a keen interest in digital healthcare to apply and become a vital part of the World’s largest private hospital group; providing award winning acute and complex care in hospitals rated outstanding by the CQC

Job Title: EHR Analyst: Clinical Decision System, Primary Care

Location: 1 London Bridge with expectation to visit other sites in the HCA group.

Salary Range: Highly Competitive

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract 2-2.5 years dependent upon project completion

HCA Healthcare are complex Care healthcare providers, across the US and UK, built on over 50 years of experience.

To continue our success, we are now executing a long-term digital transformation initiative and have made multi-million-pound investments in enhancing the effectiveness and alignment as a group to implement a real time end-to-end Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform.

Focused on advancing our technology and integrating web-based navigation, this EHR will allow HCA UK clinicians and colleagues to enhance patient safety, quality and care.

We are investing in a new project team bespoke workforce, 292 new colleagues, focused on digital change management, transforming work practices, across the UK 30 sites, including Primary and Secondary Care.

The Role

The Analyst independently gathers requirements, configures systems, develops documentation, and follows up with stakeholders to ensure deliverables are clear, correct, utilized, and well understood. They work collaboratively with staff, managers, and directors in the Medical Services and Primary Care Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) and other business areas, as applicable.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Works collaboratively with Clinical Subject Matter Experts (SME), Administrative staff and Managers, to ensure standard protocols are documented and communicated.
  • Performs quality assurance testing on systems and datasets to ensure the accuracy and functionality.
  • Works collaboratively with IT to enhance automation of processes; establish data warehouse standards and definitions; and to identify new tools to facilitate standard querying and reporting.
  • Build effective alliances to ensure programme priorities are understood and reflect the needs of clinicians and patients.

Skills & Experience

  • A clinical background within a Primary Care setting.
  • Business/systems analysis experience or analytic/IT experience within healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Use and knowledge of different clinical IT systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of database and data structures used within a Primary care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Organizational skills and ability to cope with rapidly changing information.
  • Demonstrates a broad knowledge of Primary Care settings and its stakeholders to identify and communicate how IT solutions can assist.
