Job Description
- Hold a counter balance fork lift truck certification to fulfil the role (ideal but not essential).
- Lots of handball involved (not heavy).

Reports to:-
- Transport & Distribution Manager
Outline Duties:
- Assist with all loading of outgoing deliveries on internal and external transport and that the items are correctly checked in line with the outgoing delivery note.
- Assist with all offloading of incoming deliveries and that the items are correctly checked to the incoming delivery note.
- Removal all completed manufacturing work from the shop floor into the holding areas in the manufacturing yard.
- Review and check all jobs prior to loading and unloading to ensure the load is complete and free from any defective products. Any damaged items should be identified to your supervisor immediately.
- Ensure the daily inspection of the fork lift trucks are complete using the daily check sheet. Any issues should be notified to your supervisor straight away.
- Ensure that the factory yard is clean and tidy at all times.
- Any other reasonable duties that are required by the function.
- Identify and report any health and safety issues to your supervisor.
General
- Flexibility and good time management are essential to ensure the dispatch function operates efficiently on a daily basis.
- All holidays must be carefully coordinated with your line manager to ensure suitable plans are put in place to maintain continuity of the loading and dispatch function.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines in an accurate manner in a fast paced environment.
Requirements
- Early starts will be required
- Normal hours are 42.5 per week (07.30 - 16.30)
- Overtime paid at time and a half
