Position Overview & Specifications

Happy2Move is currently seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused Removal Van Driver to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent time management skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the removal van is safe and ready for operation
  • Safely load and unload clients' belongings, taking care to prevent damage during transportation
  • Operate the removal van in a responsible manner, adhering to traffic laws and regulations
  • Plan efficient routes to and from clients' locations, considering traffic, construction, and road closures
  • Maintain punctuality and adhere to established schedules for pickups and deliveries
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service, addressing any client concerns or questions
  • Maintain accurate records of miles driven, hours worked, and expenses incurred
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient moving process for clients
  • Follow company guidelines and procedures related to safety, customer service, and overall job performance

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with appropriate class/endorsement for 3.5 tonne vehicles
  • Clean driving record free of major traffic violations or accidents
  • Prior experience driving removal vans or similar vehicles preferred
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Good physical fitness, able to load and unload heavy items safely
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
