Position Overview & Specifications

Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative looking to progress to the next step in your career? Does helping and leading others come naturally to you? Do you have a flexible approach that allows you to organise and prioritise workload effectively? If yes, we have the opportunity for you!


We’re looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join us at our JD Go Outdoors contract, at our multiuser site at Trafford Park, where you will lead a high performing team of flexible and engaged colleagues, who like you, want to deliver results.


This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working on a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern.


Pay, benefits and more:


You’ll be paid a salary of up to £26,292 per annum. You’ll receive 20 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Lead a team of warehouse operatives, co-ordinating their activities to meet set objectives and take charge in the absence of the First Line Manager
  • Assist Management in the allocation of work on a daily basis and offer colleagues support and guidance as necessary
  • Take responsibilities for Health and Safety and lead by example in order to ensure consistent compliance
  • Support the management team with projects and initiatives, also actively supporting the site engagement and community strategy


What you need to succeed at GXO:


  • Experience of working within a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Be a natural leader, able to coach others to drive and implement change
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
  • Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office
