About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Support Co-ordinator- Early Intervention, Prevention and Women and Girls in the London Violence Reduction Unit (VRU).

This is an exciting and varied role. The successful candidate will work across the Prevention, Early Intervention and Women and Girls team, providing programme and policy support to custody-based diversionary programmes, and the Unit’s developing women and girls portfolio.

You will support the pan-London expansion of the ENGAGE service, a high-profile programme which provides vital custody-based support for children within police custody. You will support the Programme manager to complete briefings, arrange and support meetings with local authorities and the Met police, and maintain key programme documentation, such as action logs and risk registers.

You will also provide policy and programme support to the Unit’s developing women and girls portfolio- you will support the commissioning cycle, conduct pieces of research, and build rapport with key stakeholders, and voluntary and community organisations.

The VRU is looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised, with excellent programme support and administrative skills.
  • Confident, and willing to hold colleagues account for the delivery of actions and objective.
  • Able to build rapport and constructive relationships with partners across sectors and communities.
  • Confident in communication, both verbally and in developing high quality, public facing written materials.
