Position Overview & Specifications
An experienced Site Manager with a solid background in the construction industry is currently required by a regional main contractor on a 6 month contract basis. The Site Manager will be based on an exciting project based in Central London and will work with the site team to ensure the projects successful delivery.
On offer is competitive day rate of £300-350 per day which is outside of the scope of IR35.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site to ensure timely and efficient delivery of the project within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination of activities.
- Monitor and report progress against the project plan, ensuring that any issues or delays are promptly identified and addressed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement appropriate measures to manage and mitigate risks.
- Manage site personnel, including direct employees and subcontractors, ensuring that they are working in a safe and productive manner.
- Ensure that all works are carried out to the required quality standards, and that all relevant documentation and records are completed and maintained
Candidate
- Relevant construction management qualifications and/or significant experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience in implementing appropriate measures to manage risks.
- Proven experience in managing construction projects from inception to completion, including managing budgets and schedules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve project objectives.
- A positive and proactive attitude with a strong focus on delivering results.
