Warehouse Operative

Full Job Description

Our brand new client are a growing family run roofing merchant established for over 45 years and are looking for a Warehouse Operator to join their branch in Oxford.

Duties include:

• Managing the efficient running of the Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and Stock Control
• Picking and loading of vehicles accurately for customer delivery
• Offloading suppliers vehicles
• General Stock control
• Ensure the operation of the Warehouse runs smoothly
• Assisting with sales & deliveries

Skills required:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Forklift experience
• Time management
• Computer literate

The ideal candidate will have a clean driving licence and have a proven track record of working in a warehouse environment.

In return we offer a wage of £11.50 per hour

Wage could be reviewed further for the right candidate eg. Experience in the roofing/merchant industry etc.

Hours:

Mon-Fri: 7:00-16:30

Sat: 08:00-12:00 (working 2 on, 1 off ).

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (desirable)
• forklift licence (MUST HAVE)

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract, Temp to perm

Salary: £11.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Oxford, OX4 2RD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
• FLT: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• forklift Licence (required)
