Warehouse Operative/ Parcel Sorter in Shrewsbury
2 shifts available
PM shift Monday to Friday
3pm to 8pm
At the moment paid with £9,50/h; in April increased to £10,42/h
after 13 weeks of service increased to £11,26
after 26 weeks increased to £12,38/h
Night Shift
Sunday 00:00-7:30
At the moment paid with £10,59
after 13 weeks of service increased to £13,62
after 26 weeks increased to £14,74/h
Your Duties Will Include (But Not Exclusive):
- Unloading and loading vans
- Manual handling of parcels up to 30kg
- Scanning and checking labels
- Ensuring that parcels are handled safely to prevent damage
- Unwrapping and wrapping pallets
- Checking for any damage or faults in goods
The ideal candidate;
- We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, flexible and happy to work hard on their own initiative
- We are looking for someone with good people skills that are helpful and friendly
- Fast-paced and target oriented environment
- Must be able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg.
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed
- Experience in a warehouse environment
- Ability to carry out continual heavy lifting
- Knowledge of goods in and goods out scanning systems
