Our retail department continues to go from strength to strength and we are now in a position to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated apprentice to join the Retail Travel Sales team in our Norwich Airport branch. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an apprentice to develop their skills further and make a real difference to our customer base.

As an Apprentice Travel Consultant, you will have a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow with a team of supportive individuals who are professionals and have a passion for the industry. This position is a unique and exciting opportunity allowing an apprentice to gain knowledge and experience in the travel industry.

This is an Apprenticeship; the successful candidate will work towards the Travel Consultant Level 3 qualification which has an estimated course duration of 18 – 24 months. This will be a work-based Apprenticeship, therefore there will be no requirement for a day release to college. You will have an allocated Assessor from an Apprenticeship training provider who will visit you in the workplace and provide 1-2-1 training, support, and guidance throughout the course.

As the successful candidate you will generate sales of all Retail Travel products to our ever-growing list of clients providing a specialised travel service that's tailor-made to customer's requirements in line with our mission, statement and values.

Reporting to the Branch Manager your duties will include:

  • Liaising with customers in branch, and via telephone in regards to queries and bookings
  • Meeting branch and individual sales targets
  • Offering the customer a high level of customer care – adhering to service standards
  • Contributing in teams discussions and presenting new ideas to improve sales
  • To assist with arranging events and customer evening
  • General office administration.

This is a full time position based at our Travel Norwich Airport branch (Norwich Airport, Amsterdam Way, Norwich, NR6 6JA.) Working 35 Hours per week (Monday - Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm, Saturday work will be on a rota and when a Saturday is worked you will have a day off in the week.)

This role will involve a minimum amount of lone working to cover for short periods of time, including over the lunch break period.
