Volunteer Driver's Mate

Purpose of your Role

The purpose of this role is to provide support to FRADE Furniture and Goods Delivery staff. This may include the collection and/or delivery of goods to our local stores and to wide range of clients and customers who are living in Middlesbrough, Stockton, Darlington and Northallerton areas.

Duties include:

•To assist FRADE Delivery Operatives with the loading and unloading of our vans.

•To assist Staff with delivering large household furniture and white goods to various locations that are within our operation areas.

•To reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, items are correct, and the customer is satisfied.

•To follow delivery driving routes and time schedules.

•To provide excellent customer service and be helpful to customers.

Core skills required for the post:

•The ability to work to instruction.

•Excellent planning and organisation skills.

•Good listening and communication skills.

•Be physically fit able to lift/carry items and cope with the demands of the role.

•The ability to work independently or in a team.

Minimum Hours

This role requires a minimum time commitment of at least 1 full day per week.

*This role is offered on a voluntary basis and is therefore, unpaid.

**Volunteer travel costs and food allowance are available, subject to Terms and Conditions.

Part-time hours: 7 per week
