We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual or couple to work as campsite wardens at our family and dog friendly Campsite in Dawlish Warren, Devon for a short period during the summer season (July and August 2023). Our site is a small campsite consisting of grass electric and non-electric pitches with showers, toilets and a waterpoint.
This seasonal position is ‘Live-In' and you will ideally have your own campervan / tent. Electric hook-up, fridge and a washing machine can be provided. We can also provide a trailer tent if required.

Job description:
As a small campsite, you'll be responsible for the site as a whole. We are looking for someone that will almost treat the site as their own, is fully committed and takes pride in what they do. Main duties include, but not limited to:
- Meet and greet new arrivals, explaining site rules and procedures along the way
- Manage bookings via a computerised system and deal with last minute bookings and payments from guests who haven't pre-booked, ensuring accurate records
- Utilising a ride-on mower for the purpose of ensuring well-manicured grass, performing hedge trimming and undertaking various forms of general groundskeeping maintenance
- Regular / scheduled cleaning of the campsite and facilities to a high standard
- Answering telephone calls to deal with enquiries and respond to guest issues / emergencies
- Ensuring quiet hours are respected after 11pm
- Managing paddleboard rentals and ensuring equipment is washed down after use
- Any other tasks deemed necessary to ensure a smooth running of the site
Applicants must have the following:
- As this is a 'Live-In' position, you'll need the ability to manage your working hours and must be flexible to deal with issues as and when they occur
- Commitment to stay for the whole period stated
- Computer literate with a good telephone manner
- Excellent customer service skills and friendly, but also have the confidence to be firm but fair if and when necessary
- Preferably able to bring your own campervan / tent however not essential as living accommodation can be provided (trailer tent)
Remuneration:
- Pay is negotiable based on experience
- One to two days off per week with flexible scheduling based on business needs
- Free electricity
- Free use of washing machine and fridge
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6-8 weeks
Salary: £10.42 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Night shift
