Engineering Apprenticeship

• Work long side your mentor who will be allocated to you when you join the company
• Working with him in the workshop and on customer sites
• Building in machinery workshop, visiting suppliers in Italy
• Some lifting involved, most of day on feet working in workshop or customer site
• Working with electrics, pneumatics, and robotics
• Must be prepared to travel with overnight stays

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

We have a vacancy for an apprentice at Excel ideally starting 1st August 2023 or earlier.

• Level 2 Engineering operative Apprenticeship (12 month duration)
• Training to take place in workshop or customer site
• Additional courses for electrics, pneumatics, and robotics etc will be given to help you with your position

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

With further training, you could become an engineer or technician

Full time position to be offered after completing level 3 and exams

Things to consider

Once Level 2 Engineering operative Apprenticeship is completed - Level 3 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship will be offered (final 24 months of the duration)

Salary will be: £12-16K in year 1, £16-20K in year 2, £20-22K in year 3

Salary: £12,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
