Fullstack Engineer

We’re looking for Fullstack Engineers, of varying experience levels, who can help develop and improve our platform and make our developer tools a great experience to use for our developer audience in the nonprofit space. We’re seeking those who have experience in early stage startups and expertise across these disciplines:

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the CTO, as one of our first engineering hires, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Develop and maintain new features using React, TypeScript, XState and a component library in Tailwind for our dashboard and donation checkouts
• Work on backend APIs and databases using Fastify, TypeScript, GraphQL and PostgreSQL
• Work with customers, design partners, founders, and the team to help define project requirements and timelines
• Occasionally support our customers through technical support whenever needed
• Maintain high attention to detail for great developer experience in our platform

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in web development using React and TypeScript
• Have worked in a fast-growing, rapidly-changing early stage startup (<20 ppl)
• Ability to attend daily meetings with UK-based team members
• Experience with Stripe or other payment providers and some familiarity with related security concerns
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• Experience with server-side rendering using frameworks like Next.js, Remix, Create-React-App
• Professional experience with nonprofits or with nonprofit fundraising technologies
• Ability to write or produce informative content for our developer audience
• Strong knowledge of GraphQL
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or similar CSS frameworks
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest or Vitest
• Familiarity of the full lifecycle of releasing an NPM Package
