About us:

Epson Telford Limited was established in 1987, we are on a 50-acre site and operate a 24/7 manufacturing site.

We are the only European manufacturing and distribution site for ink cartridges and textile inks. These products are shipped to an Epson warehouse in Germany where they are then distributed throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Quality and innovation is at the heart of everything we do, from our Cleanroom environment to our in-house machinery, design and technology improvements from which we use our own Epson 6-axis robots.

Salary:

£37,000 to £40,000 *depending on experience

Hours of work – Standard Days:

Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm & Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm

Main job functions:

• To manage the ETL IT function within the Epson Telford Business with regard to all IT infrastructure
• To champion Infrastructure technology projects, to add value to the business and to realize technology improvements.
• To co-ordinate and provide support and Development of the existing I.T. Software infrastructure, Servers, Systems and staff
• To act as second / third line IT support for all Telford based IT systems
• To jointly manage the Telford IT team
• To jointly report on the ETL IT function to Telford, Europe and SEC (Global) Business
• Attend business meetings (On-line and in person) at the Telford, Europe and SEC level

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Drives / Manages/ Works on I.T. Infrastructure projects
• Supports / manages the Telford IT department
• Drives / Manages/ actions support for IT Infrastructure servers, networks, software
• Liaises with Epson Amsterdam Central I.T. Team
• Documents own and other projects.
• Provides Third line support for complex I.T. issues
• Contributes to inter departmental teams on IT and other projects
• Drive standards / procedures / best practice
• Provides IT guidance to Management
• Drives 5S activities
• All Epson I.T. Staff are expected to demonstrate a number of key competencies

Skills required:

• Broad Range of Windows skills Win 10, MS software
• Server Skills (Windows)
• Networking skill - Cisco
• SQL awareness.
• Software Infrastructure
• Sharepoint – One Drive
• General personal and communication skills
• Team working/supervisory

Qualifications – essential:

• GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
• IT NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

Qualifications – desirable:

• Infrastructure qualifications / Accreditations
• Management qualifications

Experience – required:

• IT Infrastructure project experience
• 6 Years’ Experience in I.T. Technology role
• 2 Years supervisory / Junior management experience
• Evidence of Team working

Experience – desirable:

• Project Management experience
