Café & Conference Catering Supervisor

Elegant Cuisine is honoured to be the exclusive caterer at the Oxford Town Hall, and we opened the Town Hall Café in April after it closed because of the pandemic. Our café provides hot food, sandwiches, cakes and pastries along with a full compliment of coffees, teas and cold drinks to visitors to the Town Hall. We also ensure that all conference and meetings are fully catered for.

We are looking for friendly, reliable and sociable Cafe & Conference Catering Supervisor to join our growing team. The café will be open between 0930h and 16h Monday- Friday and 1030h to 15h on Saturday. Our café provides the foundations to support corporate meetings and other events at the Town Hall, where we provide buffet style lunches and coffee services.

The new member of the EC Team will be adept at delivering high levels of customer service, familiar to working in a catering environment and preferably have experience within a coffee shop environment.

The role will involve:

Serving coffees and tea and hot/ cold food to visitors to the Town Hall

Use of a barista coffee machine to make a wide selection of coffees

Use of tills, stock control and product ordering

Working in conjunction with Food Hygiene Legislation (L2 certification preferred)

Preparation of hot and cold sandwiches for consumption on and off the premises

Ensuring all conference meetings have their pre-booked lunches served to them and the appropriate hot drinks

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
