Position Overview & Specifications
The ability to work effectively under pressure to produce work of a high standard to support the larger team to deliver an outstanding service is essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public and colleagues, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
The NHS Breast Screening Programme for East Suffolk and Breast Imaging is part of the Breast Care Centre at Ipswich Hospital which opened earlier this year. You will be required to liaise with the wider breast team, health professionals and outside agencies on a daily basis.
Hours of work will be Tuesday to Friday 0830-1700.
Your duties will include making appointments, checking and sending results, data entry, dealing with telephone enquiries, reception, supervising small clerical team and other clerical responsibilities as required in a busy office. You will be required to use multiple computer systems to include PACS administration.
Excellent keyboard skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages is vital. Experience of hospital or radiology systems would be advantageous although full training will be provided. Experience of supervising staff is desirable for this role.
