Practice Facilitator Midwife (International Recruitment)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Band 6 midwives to provide support clinically and pastorally to our newly appointed international recruited midwives. You will be be part of the award-winning Maternity services at East Cheshire NHS Trust and we pride ourselves on being a small inclusive unit with a positive, compassionate culture. The trust is preparing for the reinstatement of our inpatient service and this is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated midwife to join our award-winning Maternity services at East Cheshire NHS Trust.

Sessions per week: 7

Work clinically alongside established and newly qualified/newly employed International registered midwives in the clinical environment in order to provide assessment and attainment of competencies. Educate and support staff to develop confidence and competence to deliver the range/standard of clinical skills and competencies required for the clinical role.

The objective of the role is for newly recruited international midwives to feel valued, supported and confident in their new posts, thereby improving retention.
