Position Overview & Specifications

We are currently recruiting for an Operations Controller to join our WEB TEAM Stoke 1 Distribution Centre. You will be joining the team on a standard mid shift basis of 8am-4pm Monday to Friday. You will be expected to work weekends as required by the business.

Our logistics centre has the capacity to store 55,000 pallets and you’ll find over 4000 different kinds of products being handled as units, cartons, bags and oversized goods.

As we continue to grow as a business, this totally team-focused department is busier and lively than ever and even more committed to training its colleague and fostering a rewarding working environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating point for all outputs on web, able to analyse and build the required reports and run daily system and capacity checks
  • Supports work prioritization to maximize effectiveness and to complement the efforts of other work groups
  • Daily performance analysis reports of all exceptions and able to investigate carrier exception reports
  • Ensure flow throughout the building in order to meet and exceed targets, including controlling carrier, call centre and operational web team
  • Assess the daily situation of daily targets and lead, coach and manage the existing admin and customer service team
  • Raise any potential issues which may affect customer delivery times
  • Delivering a high standard of service within our Web Distribution Centre procedures
  • Great communication and investigation skills, used to excel, sap, able to work on own initiative and flex to early / late shifts as required
