Job Description


We are currently looking for a International Transport Specialist to join our International Transport Department based at Hinckley

In this role you will be responsible for supporting our Operational teams analysing data to report on volumes of parcels which in turn will identify ways to reduce costs by implementing process which will increase efficiencies without compromising service levels. You will be responsible for arranging for sufficient Transport to be available for outbound routes as
well as liaison with sub contractors regarding performance including regular review meetings.

Other Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Monitoring and assessing the progress of on-going projects
  • Liaison with Hub Management in order to resolve any issues
  • Utilising systems in manipulation and creation of data to create KPI’
  • Maintaining effective communication between the IG, IOD and European Network
  • Monitor real time movement of outbound Transport routes, ensuring effective
  • communication takes place
  • Review and confirm daily status of outbound International Transport movements
  • Any other projects/tasks as designated by Senior Transport Management team

Qualifications


What we’re looking for;

  • A Gradate; ideally Mathematics or other Analytical or Statistical Subject
  • You will be analytical, data focused, highly organised and have exceptional attention to detail
  • Someone who is focused on reducing operational costs and create efficiencies
  • You will be able to work as part of a team and build rapport with other departments

  • You will have a strong working knowledge of Excel and be able to demonstrate a good
  • knowledge of formulas and other Microsoft packages
  • Someone that really enjoys resolving problems and demonstrates high levels of self-motivation
  • and flexibility.
