Position Overview & Specifications

CNS is an IT services business processing customs clearance and other regulatory and commercial information for over 100 locations around the UK, including links to Customs for FedEx, UPS and TNT. CNS’s systems provide real time clearance of cargo without which it’s maritime and air customers’ freight cannot move. CNS customs links are a pre-requisite for the movement of cargo through DP World Southampton, London Container Terminal and London Gateway Port.

A terrific job as a Quality Assurance Analyst is currently available. The FTC position is for 24 months and is to work Monday through to Friday. The tasks of the testing effort during the software development life cycle are handled by the QA Analyst. These tasks entail planning and carrying out the required tests, as well as recording their results, analysing them, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and executing functional (SIT, UAT), regression and end to end testing
  • Understanding requirements, writing test scenarios and test cases
  • Defect logging and investigation using JIRA
  • Working closely with Project Team and other colleagues to ensure coverage of functional requirements
  • Work within an Agile delivery team
  • To gain detailed knowledge of company systems and processes
  • Communication of status reports to senior team members
  • Active participation in Agile ceremonies
  • Supporting SIT, UAT and customer testing
  • Maintain and manage test equipment/test environments
  • Working independently into agile environment with minimal supervision from Test Lead

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Diploma/ Degree in a business or technology discipline (desirable)
  • API Testing experience (Must, using Postman is preferred).
  • Experience with SQL database testing (Must).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Must).
  • Experience of Web based application testing for testing phases such as SIT, UAT, Regression (Essential).
  • Experience of working as an individual contributor and coordination with development team, PM, BA (Essential).
  • Experience with JIRA and confluence tool (Essential).
  • Good understanding of the Software Development lifecycle.
  • Experience in logistic industries will be advantageous
