Qualifications: 3 years’ experience required

Salary: £21k to £26k (depending on experience)

Job description:

Having been established for over 10 years, we are driving for further success and increasing our business so we are looking for reliable and hardworking person to join the team.

You will need to have a good understanding of textiles and cutting. Hand sewing will be required to complete garments.

You will be able to work on your own and in a team. Have a good work ethic.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Working with sewing machines and good sewing skills
• Cutting of fabric, working to a very high standard
• Taking customer measurements
• Tagging and labelling, filing of labels
• Alter men’s and ladies’ clothes
• Complete alterations by needle and thread or sewing machine
• Cutting, mounting, hand/or machine sewing and pressing all parts of the tailored garments
• Working on various types of materials to prepare for cutting
• Has previously worked in an alterations business before
