Position Overview & Specifications
The Well-being Practitioner will meet Dads and partners where they are, with no judgement. They will model and promote authentic, strong, recovery focused relationships.
Holistic, client lead support with a clear understanding of hierarchy of needs to optimise experience of becoming a parent.
They will be instrumental in building a community for Dads and partners.
To work towards establishing a framework/guidelines/gathering of knowledge promoting Dads’ and partners’ wellbeing and social inclusion.
To build strong professional relationships within Dorset Health Care and externally. To keep current on the local offerings by other services that might be of interest to Dads and partners. To explore with Dads and partners what a community might look like to them. To work alongside other multi-disciplinary team members promoting Dads and partners voices. To develop a positive and collaborative relationship with Dads and partners based on mutual respect and honesty, whilst within appropriate and transparent boundaries. To regularly participate in inpatient and community team meetings (eg MDT).To maintain all clinical records to the Trust standard. To undertake any other reasonable requests in relation to clinical responsibilities within capability as directed by the Hospital to Home service lead.
