Position Overview & Specifications
Main Purpose of the Job (general tasks):
As directed by the Team Leader, the Ramp Agent receives and sorts baggage, delivery of arriving/departing passengers and the loading and unloading of the aircraft.
To segregate and load baggage via check in and shelter span facilities.
To ensure duties are carried out in a safe and efficient working manner.
Responsibilities (detailed tasks):
Liaise with our clients in a polite and efficient manner
To manually load cargo, baggage and mail into aircraft
To assist with aircraft towing and pushback operations
To operate aircraft in-plane loading systems and terminal baggage belt systems
To interact closely with transport staff with the efficient turnaround of their vehicle
To complete damage reports for equipment and baggage
To assist HM Customs as required
To operate mobile and fixed equipment
To maintain good housekeeping –i.e.- return vehicles to designated parking areas, ensuring that they are clean for use
To maintain general security of ramp in accordance with Company Security procedures
To maintain a safe working environment and observe safe working practices
Please note: as requred by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) and Gatwick Airport Limited ID Centre, to be able to work at London Gatwick Airport, the postholder must be able to obtain an Airport ID which includes security and CRC checks.

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
