THIS ROLE IS FOR WEEKEND SHIFT WORK. Please only apply if you can commit to weekend working.

Join us and you will receive a salary of - £37,900 including shift allowance, + a competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and 3% annual MIP bonus! Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate for first 4hrs of week and then 2x hourly rate thereafter! Earning potential of +£60,000 with overtime availability!

About the Role

We present a fantastic opportunity for a time-served Mechanical Engineer to join our Leven Packaging site.

Playing a critical part of the maintenance team on site, you will have the opportunity be part of a wider network – working alongside production operators, as well as other members of the maintenance team and asset care team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of all mechanical assets across our Leven packaging site.

As a first response for support, you will work closely with operations teams, CAPEX and other maintenance groups to maximise efficiency of operational assets on site. This includes the emergency response to plant breakdown situations, where you will respond promptly and efficiently to analyse, fault find and repair root cause problems to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels. You will be actively engaging with partners and the Maintenance Planning Department to ensure valuable Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks are at the core of the Maintenance Strategy. You will also be required to participate in Root Cause Problem Solving sessions.

You will be organised and self-reliant, handling your own workload and priorities while solving problems and supporting process and equipment improvement projects.
