Position Overview & Specifications
The Park Ranger team here at Safari Zoo forms a key bridge between the public and our animals and we are looking to expand for the season ahead.
You’ll find yourself assisting keepers with our animal hand-feeding experiences (including our Big Cats, Giraffes, Wolves and more) and keeping watch over our huge walkthrough animal habitats while ensuring our guests have the best day they possibly can.
Multiple roles are available, varying from 8 to 40 hours a week, starting from Easter and running through to September 2023.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing Excellent and accurate advice, guidance and support to visitors
- Supporting keepers at hand feeds and at public talks
- Ensuring company procedures, policies and guidelines are adhered to
- Providing a presence in our walk-through animal areas, ensuring visitors are following the relevant rules and regulations to keep the animals safe, healthy and happy
PERSON SPECIFICATON:
- Polite, confident and approachable
- Excellent communicator
- Well presented
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent timekeeping skills
- Able to follow and give instruction
- An interest in animals and conservation would be a distinct advantage
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 8-40 per week
Salary: £5.28-£10.42 per hour
