An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Information Governance Assistant role within the Information Governance Unit at Coventry University Group.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to receive and impart information accurately. You will be enthusiastic and motivated to understand the legislative framework and relevant regulations.
As an Information Governance Assistant you will join a busy and growing team and will provide support to the Information Governance Unit by proactively managing a busy workload, including the processing and responding to: data subject access requests, freedom of information requests, other requests for information (from both internal stakeholders and external third parties), assisting with compliance assessment, investigating data breaches and responding to general enquiries. You will also be expected to communicate with stakeholders across the Coventry University Group and external parties, playing a key part in ensuring the organisation meets its legislative and regulatory obligations.
Personal Specification
- Educated to a degree level or relevant professional qualification
- Experience in a complex administrative role, preferable in a higher education institution, is desirable.
- Experience in information governance, particularly data protection area, preferably in higher education institutions.
