Position Overview & Specifications

A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager within the Social Housing Sector with construction background to join a well-established, dynamic and growing business. We are a busy and award-winning design, build and reactive maintanence company working predominantly in the leisure and hospitality industries as well as commercial and public sectors.

We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager with experience of running projects of various sizes and knowledge of Social Housing management including occupied and VOID properties Kitchen & Bathroom upgrades and adaptations, electrical works.

You must have experience in this sector and be a socially aware professional, with impeccable organisational and communication skills. Often the first line of communication for team members, vendors, stakeholders, and residents.

Ability to organise and be able to prioritise/multitask with excellent organisational and communication skills, be able to manage a varied workload and work well in a fast paced and reactive environment. This is a key and essential position in the business and requires an organised and proactive approach. You will need to work well unsupervised and be effective in managing your own time and workloads. Some travel and flexibility in working hours will be required as we work across the Doncaster/South Yorkshire area

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Appoint and monitor appropriate labour and site management specific to the project type in conjunction with the Head of Contracts and project team
  • Control and analysis of labour costs alongside the Account Manager/QS
  • Work with the Account Manager to compile comprehensive schedules of workstreams, programs, contractors reports
  • Monitoring of the Client KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and ensure that these standards are maintained.
  • Attend and contribute to client and contracts meetings
  • Collate, manage and sign off snagging works completed by project support team
  • Record variations from site and liaise with the QS team
  • Responsible for site health and safety from pre-contract stage through to project completion
  • Monitor all site health and safety and environmental procedures and compliance by all site personnel and reporting findings to the Health and Safety Officer.
  • Liaise with supply chain team to ensure compliance and effective site set up.
  • Ensure quality of workmanship in line CBGW Group expectations
  • Deliver projects to agreed program of works
  • Monitor program of works and identify shortfalls and solutions
  • To have regular meetings with the Head of Commercial and contracts team to report on and discuss workload, project difficulties and opportunities

Required skills and experience

  • Excellent time keeping and ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines
  • A passion for delivering a professional service and quality product
  • Ideal candidate will be friendly, proactive, have good organisational skills and have a high attention to detail
  • Must have good IT skills - Microsoft skills including Excel and Projects
  • Professional qualification in project management desirable
  • Experience of working in Social Housing sector advantageous

This role will work out of our Doncaster office overseeing planned Social Housing projects, and other associated works within the Doncaster area. Regular travel around Doncaster will be required and you will manage your own diary and workload. This position benefits from 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 day for each complete year of service to a maximum of 23 days, and also receives paid leave while the business is closed over the festive period. Salary is up to £50k, negotiable depending on experience, and we are also offering a company car or car allowance, laptop and mobile phone.
