8pm to 6am Permanent Nights - £14.20 per hour

10 hour shifts, 4 days per week Mon to Thurs (6 months off-peak March to August)

10 hour shifts, 5 days per week Mon to Fri (6 months peak Sept to Feb)

What we are looking for:

We are a hugely successful and growing manufacturer of high quality branded filled products, based in Manchester. The work environment is fast paced and committed to providing employees with a challenging and engaging work environment. We are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Controller into our production department, working permanent nights. This is a busy role where you will be working in small team, providing vital QC checks on the production line. Due to seasonal demands, Comfy Quilts offers 4 day working (10 hour shifts) in the summer months and 5 days working (10 hour shifts) in the winter months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check & sign-off all ‘first’ production in factory / manufacturing environment.
• Work in progress quality control from first sample sign off to finished pallet prepared for warehouse.
• Checking samples prior to delivery to customers.
• Accurate completion of paperwork such as job sheets, sign-off sheets and metal detection calibration sheets.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Attention to detail with a keen eye for standards and high levels of concentration.
• Communication skills with ability to stand your ground when necessary whilst still maintaining good working relationships with your co-workers.
• Prioritisation skills to manage your own QC priorities on the production floor.
• Previous experience in QC, QA or laboratory would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of filled product with experience of working in production ideal.
• You will need to be an effective and proactive team worker.
