We are seeking Solutions Architect to own the overall engineering roadmap for a key project at CloudPay. This person will work closely with the product owners and engineers to continue the delivery of a solution based on Node and React.

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Understand, document, and maintain a working knowledge of the CloudPay platform and satellite systems. Be aware of their general terms of operation, capabilities and how they are deployed
  • Meet with Business Teams, Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand their requirements for CloudPay Platform/modules
  • Devise solutions by extending existing module capabilities, or, create new capabilities
  • Drafting database table changes/designs
  • Specification of API calls
  • Ensuring designs are secure, can scale to meet expected load, have performance reporting capabilities, and have well defined responsibilities
  • Working in collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Technical Architects (as required) create and refine user stories to allow designs to be implemented
  • Working with senior members of the Engineering and Product Teams, devise long term platform strategy and evolution

Attributes and Experience Required:

  • Will have worked on enterprise scale systems (i.e. large multi service systems or where individual systems have been integrated to achieve a business outcome or process)
  • Background in software engineering, ideally Node and React. Java also useful
  • Appreciation of IDM, Logging and Database and user interface technologies.
  • Familiar with Native Cloud Technologies and Cloud Platforms, ideally AWS
  • Will have worked with key business stakeholders, business analysts, technical architects and senior engineers to design systems. A key element in this role is being able to interpret user requirements and turn these into systems that code/test can implement. Support documentation, diagrams and high-level user stories are essential outputs.
  • Familiar with software engineering and architectural design patterns
