Support Worker

Classroom Support are excited to be working with a Primary school in Eltham who are looking to recruit several specialists 1:1 Teaching Assistants to start throughout March on a long-term supply basis.

The school Ofsted rated good school has a large SEN provision and sensory room to support children with ASD and Sensory Processing Difficulties.

The positions will start on a temporary basis with the option of going permanent after a set number of weeks working with the school through Classroom Support.

It is essential that you have some of the the below experience:

• Experience of supporting children/young adults with challenging behaviour
• A keen understanding of being able to create bonds with pupils that struggle to engage
• Having worked within a Mainstream or SEN school setting is advantageous
• Being of a firm nature when necessary but kind and caring as a person
• Experience supporting children with ASD or ADHD.

The rate of pay is £75 - £80 per day for the right candidates. Temp to perm options after 12 academic weeks working through Classroom Support.

Have already or be willing to pay for a DBS for children.
