Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a modern and forward-thinking firm of chartered accountants in Bridgend who are now looking to add an experienced Cloud Bookkeeper to their growing team.

The workload will be varied with the successful person gaining exposure to a wide array of clients for whom you will be assisting with their bookkeeping needs, management accounting and VAT. The role will also include providing software training to clients and other team members as required.

With the firm looking for an experienced pair of hands, the successful individual will have existing experience of working within practice. You will be a confident in all aspects of bookkeeping and will have experience in the use of online accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, or Sage One.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified, AATQB, or may be qualified by experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Carry out weekly, monthly and quarterly bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
Prepare & submit VAT returns for a range of clients.
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
Prepare financial management reports.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes.
Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.

Skills

AAT Qualified / Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience
Experience of working in a practice environment is essential
Experience of using cloud bookkeeping software such as Xero, Quickbooks, or Sage One
