The Role:*
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant with billing focus to join our team in* London.*
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing processes for our clients. We are looking for a detail oriented, strong focused and organised individual to join our team.

Responsibilities:
Billing Management:

  • Generate accurate and timely client invoices using Xero accounting software.
  • Review project contracts, p revenue forecasts, and timesheets to ensure proper billing information.
  • Collaborate with account managers and project teams to gather necessary billing details.
  • Verify billing rates, expenses, third party contractors and discounts for accuracy and compliance with client agreements.
  • Handle billing queries and resolve billing discrepancies promptly and professionally.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Monitor client payments and track outstanding balances.
  • Follow up with clients on overdue payments and manage collections when necessary.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to billing.
  • Analyse billing data and identify trends or issues that require attention.
  • Provide support during financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

General Accounting Support:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper recording and classification of transactions.
  • Assist with accounts payable tasks, including vendor invoice processing and payment management, as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and provide support to the finance department as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a marketing communications agency or similar industry.
  • Proficiency in using Xero accounting software is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
