Assistant Psychologist

Overview: Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of the Clinical Psychologist to ensure that psychological perspectives are central to everyone’s thinking.
• Support the empowerment of teams and individuals to increase knowledge, skills, and professional confidence around the needs of the people who access our services.
• Through consultancy, reflective practice, team formulation, training and clinical case management, the post holder will help the wider team create an innovative and effective trauma-informed service.
• To provide quality support for the delivery of an efficient, effective, comprehensive and specialist psychological service.
• To support service delivery in a way that reflects our whole-person approach.
• To contribute to multidisciplinary assessment and intervention for people who access services.
• To contribute to training and support programmes and initiatives for other staff within the team.
• To contribute to the assessment of health and social care needs as part of an integrated team where appropriate.
• To support in the preparation of reports for a variety of audiences as required.

• A qualification eligible for graduate basis for chartered membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society.
• Experience of work related to clinical psychology, e.g., Assistant Psychologist or Research Assistant with relevant clinical input or other relevant clinical work.
• Previous experience of working with complex trauma.
• Experience of data analysis and with database management.
• Experience of working with individuals and groups.
