We are looking for a Chef with previous high volume catering experience along with basic food hygiene & health & safety qualifications in catering. You would be working as part of a large catering team and assisting in the running of the kitchen of this private boarding school n North Yorkshire. This role would be ideal for a candidate based in the Thirsk, Kirbymoorside & Helmsley area with access to your own transport. Shift patterns mean you would be finishing no later than 7.45pm and would be expected to work weekends as and when required.

Role:

• Working with the Head Chef & Sous Chef making sure food preparation is completed daily up to the requirements of the school
• Monitoring the Health & Safety in the kitchen
• Making sure the general cleanliness of the kitchen is kept up.
• Attend all relevant meetings & training sessions.
• Assisting with large special functions as and when required
• Support the bakery sections as and when needed.
• Working across all sections of the kitchen

Requirements:

• Worked previously in high volume catering outlets.
• Relevant food safety qualifications
• City & Guild or equivalent catering qualifications
• Passion for high quality fresh food
• Full UK driving license.
• Complete relevant school application forms prior to interview & undertake an Enhanced DBS prior to the start date.
