Carrier is currently recruiting for an Apprentice Electrician based in the Lydney area. Once completed you will be a qualified Electrical Engineer.

Carrier Rental Systems (part of the global Carrier Corporation) operate throughout the UK and across the rest of the world, providing a range of market leading, specialist temperature control rental products to a variety of clients and industries.

What will you be doing?

• Electrical repairs to various HVAC equipment types – Chillers, Boilers, Heaters and more
• Inspection and Testing of Industrial systems and equipment
• Installation of equipment
• Fault finding
• Test and Inspection of 400V and 230V electric ancillary items such as Power Cables, Extension Leads, Fans, Motors
• Be willing to work off-site as needed

What we’re looking for:

• Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Maths, and ICT OR Engineering
• Ideally have a driving licence, if not you will need to have one by the end of the year 2 of the apprenticeship
• Someone who is keen to learn, ask questions and wants to be involved – bright and inquisitive with a hunger for learning
• Good written English
• A keen interest in electrical works and the HVAC industry
• Good problem solver
• Confident and articulate
