Warehouse Supervisor

CareCo are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Head Office in Great Notley, Braintree!

Our Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of warehoused goods, supervising people, processes and systems in order to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and best in class service.

This position is to start as soon as possible, supervising a team of Warehouse Operatives on the late shift (10:00am until 7:00pm).

What are my responsibilities?

• Lead, supervise and motivate the warehouse team, providing ongoing training and coaching, to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
• Co-ordinate and monitor receipt, order, and dispatch of goods to both internal and external Warehouses
• Ensure space and mechanical handling equipment is used efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
• Maximise picking, packing and dispatching goods within the Warehouse
• Supervise the performance of warehouse employees using company procedures, processes and tools including regular performance development reviews and one to one meetings
• Have a keen eye for quality control and always look to improve Warehouse standards
• Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary
• Participate in regular meetings, giving effective communication to staff verbally and written
• In the absence of the Warehouse Manager, produce regular reports and statistics based on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as required by the Senior Leadership Team

What skills are required?

• Ability to lead and motivate people
• Experience within a warehouse environment (ideally within a similar role)
• Flexibility to carry out general warehouse duties
• This work involves heavy lifting so will need to be physically fit
• A full UK drivers license
